‘RED FRIDAY IS COMING TO BURLINGTON’
Activity date: December 15 2006
Time: 12:00 Noon until 1.00 PM (Hockey Game starts 7:30 pm)
Event: ‘A Red Fridays Rally at civic square downtown
Burlington - To show support for our Canadian troops’ also “Fund
raiser for the Sapper Mike McTeague Wounded Warriors Fund”
Friday December, 15 is Support the Troops day in Burlington. Show
your support by attending the Rally and wearing something RED. The
rally will begin at 12.00 noon at Civic Square Downtown Burlington
beside City Hall. You will be able to send your Best Wishes by
signing a giant banner in the City Hall reception area. The banner
will then be sent to the Troops along with a recording of the Rally.
Donations to the Mike McTeague Wounded Warriors fund will be
accepted.
Additional Event: Also be sure to attend our Support the
troops Hockey game at Central Arena 519 Drury Lane Burlington, ON
L7R3Z6 (905) 634-5571 at 7.30pm where the Burlington Cougars will be
hosting the Hamilton Red Wings. Fans attending the game are to wear
red to the game in support of our rally.

Statement: Red Friday Rally’s have become a Canada wide effort with
various communities gathering to show there support for our troops.
The idea is to show our hero’s overseas, the men and women of our
Armed Forces who perform their duties under difficult conditions
that we support them in their efforts. And to let them know their
sacrifices do not go unnoticed at home. This is especially important
for this time of year. Our movement is non partisan of any political
party or policy.
