A tribute song for Remembrance Day
Written by
Tim Ronan

And I Sang

I remember, the sounds of bombs o'er my head I wrote a letter lying on my deathbed
And I sang
A lonely soldier, I thought of my first kiss
The bullets flying, watering eyes of bliss
And I sang
Closing my eyes, I took my last breath
As I sang
Broken and shattered, I held you in my mind
Only matter, only spirit will you find
And I sang

The committee is welcoming everyone to attend and show their support by wearing red to the event. “And not just on the 23rd,” says the committee. “We have been actively working at spreading the word about Red Fridays too. Showing support for the troops shouldn’t be a one day affair”.
