Cpl. Bryce Jeffrey Keller, Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry |
Corporal Bryce Jeffrey Keller of the 1st Battalion Princess
Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry was killed as a result of a
rocket propelled grenade attack that occurred on August 3, 2006 near
the village of Pashmul, approximately 25 kilometres southwest of
Kandahar City, Afghanistan.
Keller's
wife, Sarah, a member of the
Edmonton-based 1 Field
Ambulance, wore a dress uniform
for the ceremony. She stood at
attention by the grave as the
pallbearers removed the flag
from her husband's coffin and
carefully folded it as dictated
by military protocol. Keller's
medals and his beret were placed
on the folded cloth, the bundle
then handed to the widow.
