News Release: March 16, 2008 - A Canadian soldier was killed today by an explosive device while participating in a joint Afghan-Canadian foot patrol in the Zangabad region, in the District of Panjwayi, approximately 35 km South-West of Kandahar City. The identity of the Canadian soldier killed in Afghanistan is as follows: Sergeant Jason Boyes, age 32, 2nd Battalion Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry (2 PPCLI), based out of Shilo, Manitoba.   read more....

News Release: Jan 15, 2008 - At approximately 7:15 a.m. local time (in Kandahar) on January 15th, one Canadian soldier was killed when the armoured vehicle he was in struck a suspected Improvised Explosive Device (IED). News Release: Sept 25, 2007 - One Canadian soldier was killed and four others were wounded during Operation SADIQ SARBAAZ on September 24 at about 4:30 p.m. Kandahar time. The incident occurred approximately 47 km west of Kandahar City in the Panjwayi District. FACT:
The Taliban believe that our resolve is weak. They think with enough body count, they can push Canada out of Afghanistan. The Taliban has threatened Canadian's with suicide attacks and road side bombs. Read the full story.

Canada is united to fight this kind of terrorism and will not subside our resolution to threats.  Our resolve will grow stronger. We Canadian citizens must unite in this resolve. Let these right wing terrorist groups know we are not going to accept living in fear, become a western target or hide from commitment.

Canada is assembling more troops to be deployed in Afghanistan to beef up it's presence and take a more offensive stance. Let us Canadians show our support through support groups such as this one. Read the full story.
