The PEI
Military Family Services Centre is proud to be sponsoring a
Red Rally honoring the rededication of the Highway of Heroes
and to "Support Our Troops" and Military Families on
Thursday, May 29th at the Memorial Fountain on Grafton
Street. The Rally will start at 7:00pm with a march through
the streets of our local Military Units beginning at PEIR
and venturing down Water Street, across Pownal and down
Grafton to the Rally site. There will be police escort with
additional color guards and first responders marching with
our troops with the PEIR Regimental Band leading the way to
the Rally Site at the Fountain. Joey Kitson will sing O
Canada, there will be a lament piped and a minute of silence
with Last Post. LCol Moriarity, CO PEIR will lead the
speakers with a video tribute to the Highway of Heroes being
played for those attending. Following the Rally, There will
be an Open House hosted by DVA / PEI MFSC in the Atrium of
the Daniel J MacDonald Building opposite the Rally site.
Danny Birt's Tribute Bike will be on display during the Open
House. Refreshments will be served, and everyone is welcome.
The Remembrance Choir will perform. |
