The Red Ride
Continues
Friends of Veterans Canada, Rolling Thunder Canada
and Red
Fridays Foundation of Canada is pleased to coordinate
The Memorial Drive and Rally occurring on May 30, 2010
in support of our Canadian troops and veterans. This Memorial Drive and Rally is about Canadians
saying “Thank You” to the men and women who
serve this country
in pursuit of peace throughout the world. It’s also
about honour and respect, especially to those who have
lost their life and the sacrifices of their families.
We are going to retrace the path a fallen member of the
military takes when they come home from battle, to
honour the sacrifice our soldiers has made. We are to
mourn their passing but also celebrate their lives. It is also a time to say
“Thank You” to the families that lost their
loved ones and to all service men and women, past and
present that have provided their service to our great
country.
This Memorial Drive and Rally serves as another
opportunity to think about our veterans more than just
one day a year. Canadian peacekeepers need our
support and thanks for their sacrifices and their
service. This is what the
Repatriation and memorial rally is all about. Please come out to
the Rally from Trenton to Toronto or show your support
to our Canadian Troops by standing on one of the bridges
along the Highway of Heroes during the Rally
procession. There is no charge to anyone who wishes to
attend or participate in this event.
2008 The 2008
Repatriation Memorial Drive and Rally was a huge
success. Please visit the RMDR
ride of 2008 for details.
2009 We are also
taking this opportunity to merge this event with the
65th anniversary of the Liberation of the Netherlands
(Holland)
The
2009 Rolling Thunder Red Ride was completed
successfully on May
30, 2009. The Rolling Red Thunder Ride is
organized by a charity - Friends of Veterans Canada. This
charity's mission is to create an online video library of our
Canadian Veterans to document their lives as Canadian
Military servicemen and their personal lives. This
library will be available for free to everyone with special
considerations for our youth in Canadian schools.
The 2009 ride is the Friends of Veterans; Rolling
